Radial carcass architecture. The Tvs AR-800 employs a true radial casing with flexible sidewalls and a stabilised crown reinforced by high-strength textile belts, allowing the footprint to lengthen under load and distribute contact pressure more evenly. This geometry lowers soil compaction and slip, translating into higher tractive efficiency and measurable fuel savings in field work, while delivering better directional stability and ride comfort during on-road transfers. Reduced hysteresis in the crown minimises heat build-up at working speeds, supporting longer service life and consistent wear. The casing is engineered to operate at lower, load-matched inflation pressures without bead creep, helping protect soil structure and improving pull in wet or loose ground, all while maintaining predictable handling of implements and trailers.

Multi-angle lug geometry. The AR-800’s lugs are profiled with variable attack angles from centreline to shoulder, creating multiple biting edges and a progressive shear interface through the soil profile. This multi-angled layout enhances forward traction and lateral grip across clay, loam, and pasture, reduces heel-and-toe wear on the road, and maintains stable drawbar pull under fluctuating torque. Wide inter-lug channels accelerate mud ejection to keep the contact patch open, while a tapered lug base mitigates stress concentrations that can lead to cracking. The result is reliable hook-up under load with lower rolling losses, more uniform wear, and a quieter, smoother transport ride at legal road speeds.

Reinforced bead package. TVS engineers specify a heavy-gauge, high-tensile bead bundle with robust apex fillers and abrasion-resistant chafers on the AR-800 to lock the tyre to the rim under high torque and low inflation scenarios. This bead architecture resists rim slip on steep grades and during aggressive headland turns, stabilises the lower sidewall to reduce heat generation, and preserves casing integrity when carrying high hitch or loader loads. The reinforced bead seats cleanly on standard agricultural rims for straightforward tubeless fitment, reducing downtime in the workshop and ensuring consistent air retention across a wide operating pressure range.

Stubble-resistant tread compound. A cut-, chip-, and stubble-resistant cap compound sits over a cooler-running base in the Tvs AR-800, combining high-dispersion carbon black, resilient polymers, and anti-ozonant systems to deliver abrasion control and crack resistance in harsh field residues. This chemistry minimises chipping from gravel lanes and resists puncture pathways initiated by maize or cereal stubble, protecting the carcass plies and extending tread life. The lower hysteresis base enhances heat dissipation during transport, reducing thermal fatigue, while wax bloom and anti-oxidants shield against UV and ozone common in New Zealand conditions, keeping the rubber supple and performance consistent across seasons.

Self-cleaning shoulder design. Open shoulders with tapered evacuation channels and optimised void-to-lug ratio enable the AR-800 to shed wet soil quickly, preventing mud packing that robs traction and elevates fuel burn. The geometry maintains clear shear planes at the shoulder for lateral stability on side-slopes and reduces stone retention that can bruise the tread base. Improved self-cleaning supports steady drawbar output across passes, shortens cycle times in heavy conditions, and limits heat accumulation from slip, all of which protect the casing and help lower the total cost per operating hour.
